I was born and raised in Germany and left home at the age of 15 to chase the adventure of coming to the ‘Land of Opportunities’ where the money is laying in the streets.
I literally started my journey in the entertainment industry at the very bottom…I worked as an usher in a movie theater. I learned all aspects of theater operation from buying concessions, projection, management, buying and booking films, etc. I went on to work as a regional distributor, booking films in theaters. From there I went to work travelling all over Europe licensing foreign films for exhibition on the ‘then’ infant cable television industry.
After moving to Los Angeles, I worked as theatrical booker for a film distribution company. With the experiences that I had gathered I was soon promoted to V.P. and general manager and shortly thereafter I was offered the opportunity to buy the company which I ended up owning and operating for some 25 years.
After I retired, I soon ended up getting bored with nothing to do and I found myself starting to drink at 8 o’clock in the morning. Since this was really not the kind of life that I wanted to live, the choice was clear…I gave up drinking and took up acting.
I started as a background actor and worked on close to 300 films, television shows and commercials. I have taken numerous acting, commercial, improv and voice over classes and seminars to learn my craft, and I will continue with my education to become the best actor I can be.
